within you is divine balance...

“Within you is divine balance. When you allow this divine balance to do its work, your former issues will come back to you in the most appropriate ways. Within you is a new divine balance. We asked you to close the blinds and the doors of your new house. We want you to understand that it comes from within you. It is not appropriate now to ask your guides for help. They love you dearly, but they are not in your direct energy anymore. It has not time to ask Tobias or any other outer being. Within YOU is divine balance.

It is between you and your Higher Self. Your Higher Self cannot be found if you look out the window. It is not there. There is nothing out there right now that is going to connect you to your own divinity. It is not on the outside. When you find yourself looking outside for your answers, we will remind you that the connection point back to your divine being, the connection point back to whence you came, the connection point to the future for where you are going is within! Dear friends, remember this. This is the lesson of magic that you will come to understand. Within you is divine balance.”

ignorant, saint or sage?

To the ignorant, the sense 'I am' means 'I am the body.'
To the Saint, 'I am' means 'I am Presence.'
To the Sage, 'I am' means 'I am the Absolute.'

crisis doesn't mean disaster but turning point...

(shared from facebook)
When you are young, it is tempting to think that you have all the answers.

Then you grow, and you suffer, and bit by bit,
life chisels away at your defense mechanisms,
and your certainties,
and you start to doubt everything you once were sure of.

Faced with the impermanence of things,
you may even reach a point of total disillusionment –
with yourself, with the world, with your belief systems,
with your relationships, with your career,
with everything you once took for granted.

This dis-illusionment, this breaking down of illusions,
can lead either to a lifetime of depression, fear and a bitter shutting-off from life,
or – when listened to – it can become a portal to liberation,
 to the letting go of the false, and the discovery of the truth of who we really are.

I love it when people come to me in “crisis”, totally dis-illusioned with their lives.
I always see it as a new beginning for them, an invitation to a life beyond illusions,
to a life of deep rest and true connection. I meet them exactly where they are.

The word “crisis” does not actually mean “disaster”, but “turning point”.
 Let us turn towards disillusionment, and hear its deeper call.

(shared from facebook)
You are My Hands and Feet

Eileen’s guidance:
This spiritual life is very practical for unless you live it,
it becomes as nothing but empty words without any Life Force.
You have to give it force and life by what you do with it,
you have to obey the advice and instruction which I give you.
You have to give it life, hands and feet, for you are
My hands and feet.
Without you to work in and through where should I be?

Leave past, future and even present thoughts behind.
Be a witness to life unfolding by itself.
Be free of all attachments, fears and concerns
by keeping your mind inside your own heart.
Rest in Being.
Like this, your life is always fresh
and imbued with pure joy and timeless presence.
Be happy, wise and free.

Mooji on Who am I?

(shared from facebook)
The question 'Who am I?' is the most important question a human being can ask.
To feel some attraction to this question already signals an auspicious life.
From the birth of this body something inside has been saying:
 'I am, I want, I know, I love, this is me, this is mine,'
but when asked, What or who is 'I'? no clear answer is given.
The 'I' itself appears to know many things but it itself it doesn’t know.
What exactly arises as 'I'? What is the substance of 'I'?
These are the most powerful questions that can emerge inside the human consciousness.
Why powerful? Because they have the power
to break open and dispel every delusion and so remove the ego's grip on us.
Ego is the unreal identity and nature,
and makes us feel uneasy in the presence of other beings.
It often brings in fear and insecurity,
which causes us to hold onto feelings of rejection, jealousy, hatred and desire.
However, by its very nature, ego can also help us to grow
 in understanding and aspire for lasting freedom
by forcing us to seek what is true within ourselves.
Satsang speeds up our liberation.

inner and outer worlds and knowing oneself...

(shared from facebook)
"In order to understand the way our brains behave,
we can observe our emotions and their effects.
In the past, it seemed as though
science and spirituality were opposed to each other.
However,
it’s not a useful division to maintain,
because the one tradition
deals with knowledge of the material world
and the other
with the inner world of the mind;
we need to know about both."

test drive your self with Tai Chi...

"All the religious texts in the world mean nothing, said Hung,
if people do not first properly exist in their bodies.
“Otherwise, it’s like reading about a Ferrari instead of getting into one,” he said.
“Tai Chi is so popular because you get to test drive your self.” "

growing a life...

(shared from facebook)
"According to me, the function of the parents is not how to help the children grow -- they will grow without you. Your function is to support, to nourish, to help what is already growing. Don't give directions and don't give ideals. Don't tell them what is right and what is wrong: let them find it by their own experience.
Only one thing you can do, and that is share your own life. Tell them that you have been conditioned by your parents, that you have lived within certain limits, according to certain ideals, and because of these limits and ideals you have missed life completely, and you don't want to destroy your children's life. You want them to be totally free - free of you, because to them you represent the whole past.

It needs guts and it needs immense love in a father, in a mother, to tell the children, "You need to be free of us. Don't obey us - depend on your own intelligence. Even if you go astray it is far better than to remain a slave and always remain right. It is better to commit mistakes on your own and learn from them, rather than follow somebody else and not commit mistakes. But then you are never going to learn anything except following -- and that is poison, pure poison."
~osho~

My personal addendum:
 To some degree my parents did this but not with religious matters or church rules. Those were definitely toe the line, or else.  My experience was that many times allowing or forcing me to stumble along and  learn things the hard way without guidance was unkind. They could have sat me down and told me of options in various scenarios, explained possible outcomes of different choices, and then gently guided me into what appeared to be the most favorable outcome for everybody.

Also, I don't believe that Osho's advice in this regard is "one size fits all". Some children are born with very clear ideas about how to live their life. Others...not so much.

everybody is a buddha midwife...

Be grateful to everyone,
because
everybody is creating a space
for you to be transformed -
even those who think they are obstructing you,
even those whom you think are enemies.
Your friends, your enemies,
good people and bad people,
favorable circumstances, unfavorable circumstances -
all together they are creating the context
in which you can be transformed
and become a buddha.
Be grateful to all.
To those who have helped,
to those who have hindered,
to those who have been indifferent.
Be grateful to all,
because all together
they are creating the context in which buddhas are born,
in which you can become a buddha.

we don't have a life. we ARE Life Itself...

(shared from facebook)
"We don't 'have' a life, we are life itself,
and simultaneously we are the witness to life
and all its expressions as it unfolds.

Reflect:
 if life is what we have then we will lose it one day,
for all possessions are impermanent.
Such a belief automatically places us in the position
of the body which is time-bound and perishable.

But when we come to the understanding
that we are life itself then all fears go,
as this understanding places us in the position of consciousness,
which is formless, timeless and imperishable.

The belief that we are merely our bodies
makes us anxious and hurried,
 for on a subconscious level
we are driven to get as much as we can before it all ends.
This has been the ongoing trauma
of the human being throughout the ages.
However, as consciousness itself, we are not time-bound.
Our mind and world
becomes a wiser and more peaceful existence,
for we know inside our hearts that we are the eternal."

making love - a sacred experience

This 18 minute youtube presentation seems much longer because of the way Osho speaks. That's sortof a meditation in itself, if you catch my drift. One thing I learned about that I had never even given any thought to was the term "missionary position". Osho claims that in India men are never on top in love making. They didn't know of such a thing until the missionaries introduced them to it. In other words, teaching male dominance and female submission.

Be Free...surrender your existence to Existence...

(shared from facebook)
"Surrender your existence to existence.
Discover your spontaneity.
To entertain the belief that you know
what you are going to do in the future or next week
is a madness.
What a restriction, a limitation and a repression.
Life flows spontaneously
and is infinitely greater
than all your plans or intentions put together.
Why spoil it with hasty and vain projections?
Let it be whatever it will be.
Give up trying to manipulate.
This is Freedom."

personal version of the Impersonal...

Sometimes we need to shut out everything else...
stop looking outside of ourselves...
get very quiet....very still.....
and listen for a very personal version of TRUTH.

:~)*(~:

"You are before the world but, when you put the world before you, you lose your freedom.
You are before thought but, when you put thought before you, you are confused.
You are before the body, but when you put the body before you, you are afraid of dying.

Therefore you are in bondage with the world, in darkness with your mind and in fear with your body.
But when you realize you are before the world, the mind and the body, they lose their hold on you."

 :~)*(~:

giving and receiving our Essence...that's Love

"Real love is not about getting something, or a sense of security.
These are based on a fear of scarcity and a perceived lack of Love.
Real love is the humble magnificence of the Love itself
and how it reflects the true essence of the "giver" and the "receiver",
which is overflowing endlessly
beyond any contrived or perceived deficiency."

(shared from my facebook newsfeed)

Truly,
"Giving and receiving are the same"
to those who knows there is only One.
We but give to ourselves all the time.
Now THAT
should make us much more interested
 in what exactly it is we are giving!
"Everything is either a call for Love or an extension of Love".

Lightness of being...

(sharing from facebook)
Lightness of Being.
The universe is not a heavy dense universe. Feelings and emotions are not heavy and thick as you make them to be. They are impressions, images that result from believing thought. Energetic vibration. Subatomic dance that is soaked with empty space.

Surrounding and permeating all impressions of heaviness and soaking all contractions is a deep unshakable peace ... a stillness that evades the travails and preoccupations of the I-thinking mind ... When you turn your attention to the border-less aware presence that YOU ARE, all aches magically dissolve and the illusory sense of physicality collapses.

Physicality is only an impression created by thought and is maintained by our habitual belief in thought. All along, the universe has a holographic quality rather than a physical quality.
The substratum of the universe is Seamless Oneness, Wholeness ... Divine Love. Complete undivided intimacy.

Rather than feeding the physical illusion by blindly believing your thoughts and feelings, rather than remaining entangled in the I-thought and enmeshed in the me-story and feelings, turn your gaze towards Her, towards Divine Grace and your true nature will be revealed, beyond all the complex definitions and divisions of the mind.

Surrender all your beliefs and all your story line to Her. Surrender your body and mind to the eternal and infinite aware presence spacious lightness of Being. It is a moment by moment surrender.

Peace and Happiness, Joy beyond measure will be revealed to be your eternal true home, beyond the illusory impressions of life and death.

asexual orientation...

 from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asexuality

Asexuality (or nonsexuality)[1][2][3] is the lack of sexual attraction to anyone or low or absent interest in sexual activity.[4][5][6] It may be considered the lack of a sexual orientation, or one of the four variations thereof, alongside heterosexuality, homosexuality, and bisexuality.[7][8][9] A study in 2004 placed the prevalence of asexuality at 1%.[7][10]
Asexuality is distinct from abstention from sexual activity and from celibacy,[11] which are behavioral and generally motivated by factors such as an individual's personal or religious beliefs;[12] sexual orientation, unlike sexual behavior, is believed to be "enduring".[13] Some asexual people do engage in sexual activity despite lacking a desire for sex or sexual attraction, due to a variety of reasons, such as a desire to please romantic partners or a desire to have children.[6]
Acceptance of asexuality as a sexual orientation and field of scientific research is still relatively new,[4][6][8][14] as a growing body of research from both sociological and psychological perspectives has begun to develop.[6] While some researchers assert that asexuality is a sexual orientation, other researchers disagree.[8][9]

I also made a blog page with a few more links I found on this subject.

fearless acceptance...

(shared via facebook)
“Do you know what embodying truly is, Shaumbra? It is the fearless acceptance – FEARLESS ACCEPTANCE – of All That Is without the walls or barriers or judgments. It is the fearless acceptance, the feeling of all energies, the experiencing of all things, the understanding that you'll never lose your own identity or integrity. It is there. It is permanent. You can never lose that. It was a gift given to you by Spirit. You’ve always had it, and you always will.

Yes, indeed, there have been times when who you thought you were, when your identity was shattered by yourself, deliberately, where it was taken over by another being, deliberately, and at some level by agreement. Shaumbra, the energy of the unit of yourself – the energy of you, that angel, you, that aspect of spirit – has always been there and always will. It was created for you and shall always be. It can never be taken away. It can never be destroyed. Nobody can ever take it from you.

Oh, you can play the game. You can have a story where you pretend for a while that somebody steals your energy, where you are possessed, or you are some type of walk-in, or something like that where they take you over. But, it can only go on for a short period of time. The integrity of your being always returns to the integrity of your being. Nothing can ever damage it, steal it, possess it. It always comes back, Shaumbra.

So, that is why we say that embodying is the fearless acceptance. You can fearlessly accept yourself. You can fearlessly embody anything into your being. As our dear friend, Kuthumi, said last month, “You can breathe in those germs; you can fearlessly accept them.” You can fearlessly accept everything about yourself and everybody else. You can be so accepting, fearlessly accepting, about everything that you’ve done in the past, in this lifetime, in past lifetimes, without the judgment, without being afraid of it.”

the real Yoga...

(shared from facebook)
What is most beautiful is when a human is being undone as an ego,
when the belief in being only a personal self is merging
with its own source - the universal Being.
When the tribal is absorbed in the universal,
the human being has moved from
person to pure presence, and is in harmony.
This is the real Yoga.
Every person belongs to some tribe,
a tribe shaped by personal identity and conditioning.
But the universal mind has transcended the tribal mind.
On the surface,
such a one may appear to belong to some tribe
but internally they are the universal Self.
Satsang is the "changing room".

enlightenment is intelligent...

~Scott Morrison~

"That's the thing, isn't it?
Enlightenment is ruthlessly intelligent.
Peace doesn't get involved in any of the details -
one's historical, moral, religious, spiritual,
 racial, political, educational or social background, and so on.
Not one iota.
Wisdom cares nothing about these things.
Freedom only knows of this one eternally present moment.
This makes it all very simple -
no need to complicate it.
With no historical or future entanglements,
there is just one immediate choice:
Are you completely willing
to be that which you say you love and revere,
no matter what the circumstances?
No pause, no hesitation, no deliberation.
If you say "Yes"
and proceed to speak or think in a way that contradicts it,
 then it begs the question, are you serious about this?
This simple question,
"The way you are living this instant, does it work?"
is profoundly useful.
If it isn't working,
then what will it take?

If we are not Wisdom,
if we are not Freedom,
if we are not Serenity
this very instant,
then what good is any of this?
If we are, then in our very own being,
we offer the most precious and joyful gift in the world to everyone around us.
Infinitely more
 than thousands of philosophies or religions,
or millions of words.
It's that simple."

the missing peace...

(shared from facebook)
~ MIRACULOUS HEALING – THE MISSING PIECE ~

“No one can ask another to be healed.
The reason is that the only way to heal our self or another –
is to be healed. It’s in our acceptance
of healing via the miracle, that we can then extend it.
When we mistakenly pray for our self or another to be healed,
we’re asking through fear and not through Love.
Only fear can believe in and experience suffering.
Love cannot.

We are so addicted to seeing the body, others,
the past, and the world through the ego’s lens of fear,
that we unknowingly attempt the impossible.
We try to heal fear through fear, via the ego thought system.
By believing in the reality of the illness or problem,
we make it real, something that needs to be resolved.
Then we attempt to remedy the problem from
within the same thought system that made it, which is insanity.

“No one can ask another to be healed.
But he can let [himself] be healed,
and thus offer the other what he has received.
Who can bestow upon another what he does not have?
And who can share what he denies himself?” T-27.V.1:6-9

when judgement falls away...

(via facebook)
Who we truly are is always deeply at peace, beyond conclusions,
and always enjoying the play of humanity
on its cosmic television screen – including the advertisements.
Relatively, we may find ourselves judging others,
comparing ourselves, thinking we are more ‘awake’ than others,
judging our God or our Teaching or even ourselves as the One and Only,
and relatively speaking,
this may be something for us to look at, to be curious about,
to explore, to be aware of, no matter how ‘awakened’ we think we are.
How are we separating ourselves from ‘others’, even though there are no ‘others’?
Yet ultimately,
who we truly are allows all of it, holds all of it,
the judgement and the lack of it in the moment,
holds all of this astonishing human drama in the palm of its hand,
wraps it in a forgiving embrace,
loves it to death, quite literally,
and this is the wonderful paradox of existence,
the ever changing and the never changing at all,
 the dance of the Beloved.
And when even that judgement falls away…

on open space...

"You are the open space, free and unbound.
The vastness of being welcomes everything.
It takes on all forms only to reveal its magnificence
and to lead you to her beauty. Even when
it manifests as suffering, it is leading you to its divine nature.
Remain as the openness. It is possible.
Love the openness more than the story. Look beyond the I-thought.

All is welcome and nothing really hurts what you truly are.
There is no need to stand in the way or to direct the traffic.
That is too cumbersome.
Simply abide as your true nature and trust it.
After all, the universal order takes care
of the firmament and the 170 billion galaxies in the observable universe.
 It takes care of the weather, it takes care of all the manifestations.
Is there a need for you to control and manage the weather?
Of course not.
Your true nature is awaiting your recognition
and awaiting your trust and embrace.
It is a better embrace than the embrace
of managing your endlessly changing world.
Abide as your true nature and make room for
all what manifests, feelings, thoughts, emotions ...
without interference and with the utmost love
but without attachment or detachment.
Remain like the wide open sky of aware presence.
That is truly what you are."

the end of craving is freedom...

(shared from  facebook)
When the Buddha speaks of the end of dukkha,
he is not simply talking about being in a good mood.
The radical, uncompromising freedom of nibbana
is not dependent on conditions being favorable;
 it’s not dependent on conditions at all.
This deeper freedom, the end of craving,
 comes through a profound inner shift of understanding,
 in which the strongly held view of self is purified
through the experience of what is unconditioned, unborn.

~Joseph Goldsten

witness and celebration as attitude...

"Develop the witness attitude and you will find
in your own experience that detachment brings control.
The state of witnessing is full of power,
there is nothing passive about it."
~ Nisargadatta Maharaj~
~~~
 "Happiness is one pole, sadness is another.
Blissfulness is one pole, misery is another.
 Life consists of both,
and life is a ritual because of both.
A life only of blissfulness will have extension,
but will not have depth.
A life of only sadness will have depth,
but will not have extension.
A life of both sadness and blissfulness is
multi dimensional; it moves in all dimensions together.
Watch the statue of Buddha or sometimes
ook into my eyes and you will find both together --
a blissfulness, a peace, a sadness also.
You will find a blissfulness which contains in it sadness
also, because that sadness gives it depth.
Watch Buddha's statue -- blissful, but still sad.
The very word 'sad' gives you wrong connotations --
that something is wrong. This is your interpretation.
To me, life in its totality is good.
And when you understand life in its totality,
only then can you celebrate; otherwise not.
Celebration means: whatsoever happens is irrelevant --
I will celebrate. Celebration is not conditional on certain things:
'When I am happy then I will celebrate,' or,
'When I am unhappy I will not celebrate.'
Celebration is unconditional; I celebrate life.
It brings unhappiness -- good, I celebrate it.
 It brings happiness -- good, I celebrate it.
Celebration is my attitude,
unconditional to what life brings."
drama...that's so 2013
"I see 2014 representing a major turning point for many of us.
 In this new awareness, can we also allow life to serve us
by befriending our natural ability to receive?
Can we allow the energies we invoked to do all the hard work?
I believe this would ignite a new passion, a greater sense of enthusiasm
for living on Earth at this time.
It would allow us to joyfully live inside our own creations."
By Robert Theiss
