Closing out one year and beginning another - 
great time for reflection and pondering
-what has REAL value?

Turn away from the ego's self-interest
and the psychological identity.
Keep sweeping it aside.
For a while it may seem that if you reject the ego,
there is nothing else there to experience.
Ego, as personal identity, seems all you know.
But this isn't true, for as you are discarding your old skin,
you are finding your true nature and Self.
And you are discovering that what you are discarding
is a tiny bubble in the ocean of the real and imperishable Being. "
