Being Helpful

"Peace has a great deal to do with warm-heartedness and respect for the lives of others, avoiding doing them harm and regarding their lives as being as precious as our own. If, on that basis, we can also be of help to others, so much the better."

I Feel like a Princess with a Coach!

My "Coach" Leather Hobo Handbag
True, it is a slightly used, yard sale find...but still! And it's not so much that it's a genuine  2010 Coach (No MO5S-5054) as it's that I love the feel and smell of the leather, and the workmanship is fantastic! I'm the kinda gal that has a few bags but sticks to the one for convenience sake. Just grab my bag and go! Now this is a special occasion bag, I think. <3

Garden Blooms

Comfrey Blossoms
The clay dish on the lower right contains the first celery plant I started this year by cutting off the bottom part of a celery stalk. Slowly it's growing!

Comfrey Blossoms  Close-up
My gardens have some rocks interspersed. I like rocks in the garden. They feel solid and comforting, and retain the sun's heat so on chilly nights they help keep plants warmer. At least, I like to think so!

Butterflies love these!

Comfrey

This comfrey plant is now beginning to look like the plant my grandmother had for years. Hers came back every spring. She made tea with the dried leaves for colds, and to boost her immune system. I love the blossoms!
Comfrey Plant in Bloom
I hope the deer won't find this one. I want to collect seeds and start more plants, and eventually sell the dried leaves in my etsy store.
Oregano
I was told by a local gardener that in Florida Oregano will spread and become a ground cover. I am delighted that this is what appears to be happening with my plant, and interestingly enough it does survive the summer heat very well!
