meditation provides us with a different lens...

Meditation
does not eliminate all of life’s problematic experiences,
but it allows us to view them with different lens,
so that we do not feel overwhelmed by them.
~~~
Here is a story from the Life of Akbar:
"One day he posed a problem to his stewards to see who could come up with a solution. Using a piece of driftwood. He then asked who could shorten the line without touching any of it. The stewards could not figure it out but just stood there, blankly staring at each other. But, Birbal picked up a stick and drew a line parallel to the first, which was longer than the first, thus making the first one look shorter."
~~~
(I doubt that the moral of the story is to create a bigger problem so the first one won't seems as big.)

freeing ourselves from the optical delusion of time and space...

"A human being is part of a whole, called by us the Universe,
a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself,
his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest
a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.
This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us
to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us.
Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison
by widening our circles of compassion to embrace
all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."

ego-mind fear of Awakening...

What is the ego-mind’s fear of awakening?

It is: Who wants a relationship with Miss Nobody?
Who will employ Mr. No-Mind?
What kind of future is there for one who is desireless?

But I am reminding you that all these are the ego's taboos,
imaginings and attempts to distract you from your ever perfect nature.

In truth, your awakened life will be magnificent,
harmonious, joyous and complete.

Spiritual people are of no use to the world." Very unpleasant little man, in my recollection.

Dr Who Am I?

THE DIVINE GAME-SHOW
"Discerning the real from the unreal  -
this is the greatest game on Earth, the game of transcendence.
And what is to be transcended? Ego, the false sense of self.
Your Self is the prize, but not yourself personally.
Actually, yourself personally is the cost.
To transcend even this game, go straight to Enquiries.
They will point you directly to Dr. Who

natural fragrance of our true nature...

"True love, peace, joy, wisdom and lasting contentment
do not require any effort in themselves. Why?
Because they are the natural fragrances inside your very nature,
and what is natural is also effortless and need only be discovered.
Therefore consider: Beyond a certain necessary stage,
could not your very efforts become an obstacle
to recognizing the wholeness already present inside your heart?
A wholeness that can only to be recognized, not developed.
Seek the Lord's or Satguru's grace."

say the right word and the wine expands...

''Why worry about the loaves and fishes?
If you say the right words, the wine expands.
If you say them with love
and the felt ferocity of that love
and the felt necessity of that love,
the fish explode into many.
Imagine him, speaking,
and don’t worry about what is reality,
or what is plain, or what is mysterious.
If you were there, it was all those things.
If you can imagine it, it is all those things.
Eat, drink, be happy.
Accept the miracle.
Accept, too, each spoken word
spoken with love.''

becoming free...

To Become Free in an Unfree Society
"Man can be physically ill; then the physician, the doctor is needed.
Man can be psychologically ill; then a little help can be given by Freud and Jung and others.
But when man is existentially ill, neither a physician nor a psychiatrist can be of any help. Existential illness is spiritual. It is neither of the body nor of the mind, it is of the total – and the total transcends all parts. The total is not just a composition, a composition of the parts, it is something beyond the parts. It is something that holds all the parts into itself. It is a transcendence.
And the illness is existential. Man suffers from a spiritual illness."

inter net freed om

Hi All
This is important.
Big corporations are planning on policing and controlling the internet and about to install laws that would allow this. This would be a terrible outcome for Freedom, and we have a chance to speak against this movement, but we have to act now.
The website AVAAZ are running a petition called 'Save the Internet'. I signed and shared this link one hour ago in a post below, and given there are 34,000 people on this page, the fact that my administration settings tell me it has only been seen by 11 of you(!) show me that the link I posted is obviously being monitored, and stopped from reaching wide numbers of people on Facebook. I am guessing this is the truth for all who are posting it.
Normally my statistics show that thousands see things within a first hour. And this is EXACTLY the kind of monitoring that will happen with all things that big corporations do not want us seeing/engaging with.
I have seen this happen before with a similar petition I posted, so as this cause is so important, please take a moment to go to AVAAZ.org, and where you see people's signatures in the scrolling box on the homepage, click on one where you see the term 'save the internet').
Thank you and I am hoping this post is seen by more of you than 11 people!
Please like and share...

Liz Gilbert on Getting out of our own Way...

Dear One...
A friend of this facebook page named Amanda asked me this morning if I could speak to the question of how to stay out of your own way, when it comes to pursuing success.
And I thought, "Gee, I've never sabotaged myself at all, so I'm not sure I can speak to this..."
Kidding.
KIDDING.
For me, it comes down to entitlement — which is a word that is generally only ever used in negative connotations, but which needs to be appropriated here and put to good use.
Do you believe in your core that you are entitled to do well in life? Entitled to create? Entitled to try to manifest your dreams? Entitled to take up every inch of space that your talents require in order to come into being? Entitled to be satisfied with yourself when you succeed? Entitled to want to do even better next time? Entitled to perhaps surpass people's expectations of you? Or even entitled to surpass your own family's levels (and definitions) of success? (WHOOPS, that kind of makes your stomach flip over a bit in fear, right? Because: "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, BETTER THAN US?")
I think what holds us back — what has held me back at times — is lack of trust.
When I sabotage my own path, it's because I don't trust my own inner navigator, or because I'm remaining loyal to outdated ideas of myself (or, worse, because I'm trying to remain loyal to other people by forcing myself to stay at their level — a crookedly "compassionate" plan that has never done anything but backfire horribly, by the way.)
But if I trust that my inspiration and ambition were hard-wired into me for a reason, then it becomes easier for me to cooperate with my dreams. I think, "The universe didn't put all this stuff within me so that it could lie dormant." If the universe didn't want me to be a writer, it shouldn't have made me one. I am composed of a particular combination of ingredients that all want the same thing — to be a storyteller. What right do I have to stand in the way of that, just because my own evolution sometimes makes my ego nervous?
When you look at it that way (that you were created by a divine source, which hardwired talents and gifts and dreams into you for a reason) then self-sabotage suddenly seems to be a kind of blasphemy — a desecration.
Which is, I think, what the Gospel of St. Thomas means, with this line: "If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you don't bring forth what is within you, what you don't bring forth will destroy you."
Bring your talents forth. They really want to see the light of day. And we want your talents to see the light of day. Amanda, we really need for you to do the things which only you can do. (Because nobody else can do those things in quite the same manner.) That's what you're here for. And if you bring forth what is remarkable within yourself, you will inspire and empower others to do the same, which will make our broken world a better place.
Think of pursuing your dreams, therefore, as both a form of prayer and a community service.
And yes, get out of your own way!
ONWARD,
LG

like Self-attainment only...

"To have no liking for anything other than the Self is the sign of Self-attainment.
Meditation on anything other than the Self, is bondage.
Always meditate on the "Divine Nature" of your Self.
All other things are unreal.
Any other concentration except on the Self, who is the Lord, is bondage.
Any meditation or thinking except that which is on the very nature of your own being,
becomes a tight binding.
The "world" by its nature, is the separateness of species.
It will never function smoothly.
Any fruit except for the Self, is futile.
Please think this over deeply.
You are attracted to that which is objective because the ego sense never thinks
of the true contentment which is found only in the Self.
If one truly does something for their own welfare,
the sense that "I am an individual" dies
because that which exists afterwards is not the individual (Jiva).
The individual turns towards sense objects,
and in doing so, turns towards sorrow.
The objects that appear to be pleasant are really unpleasant.
The objects that appear attractive, are actually very destructive
and give pain, yet the individual always runs after these objects.
Therefore, stop thinking about sense objects
and turn to the Path of Devotion."

The May full moon of Wesak is an outpouring of love,
with blessings for humanity for the year ahead.
The transmission begins with the Archangel Michael

and then moves into a Blessing for JOY.
When you listen to this blessing, your cells," the very fabric of your being",
will automatically be lifted into a new octave of creation.
It is all about YOU becoming a better Creator and
living your life with JOY.

I am that I am, I am beauty, I am peace,
I am joy, I am one with Mother Earth.
I am one with everyone within the reach of my voice.
In this togetherness, we ask the divine intelligence
to eradicate all negatives from our hearts,
from our minds and from our actions. And so be it!

on subtle suffering...

"The subtle suffering in our lives may seem unimportant. But if we attend to the small ways that we suffer, we create a context of greater ease, peace, and responsibility, which can make it easier to deal with the bigger difficulties when they arise. Being intolerant of suffering, in the Buddhist sense, does not mean that we reject it or fight against it. It means that we stop and look at it, not morbidly, but with faith in the possibility of living a joyful and peaceful life."

the art of true living by Eileen Caddy...

Guidance from Eileen Caddy
You Can Reflect Me in Your Life and Living
Take time to be still, to meditate, to listen. This is the art of true living. You can do far more for all concerned in this way than in busying yourself in outward activities and in being a 'do gooder'. When you are still you give Me the opportunity to work in and through you My wonders to perform. You give Me the opportunity to speak to you and reveal My truths to you, to open the doors of heaven so you may enter and behold. Then when you have absorbed the beauties and wonders into your being, you can bring them down upon this earth and share them with those around you. You can reflect Me in your life and living.

knowledge vs. freedom inquiries...

What a relief to be empty!
Then God can live your life.

~ Rumi ~

 _()_

"Seeker of Truth, if you should get the opportunity to meet an awakened Being and ask one question only, I would advise you to ask a freedom question and not merely a knowledge question. Knowledge questions are mostly asked from the position of a personal self and the answers tends to develop one's mind and often one's ego also; they rarely take you directly to the source.
A freedom question is fresh and risky, and the answer could, profoundly, change something today. It could completely reshape your perspective of life and who you take yourself to be as the one ‘living' it. The answer, received inside, could bring about a transformation from caterpillar to butterfly.
What could be a good example of a freedom question?
It could be:
"Without great pain or years of practice, is it possible to realise my eternal nature, and if it is, can you help me discover it today?"
If asked with a sincere wish to be liberated in this life-time, a freedom question will lead you to one whose light and presence will stir something deep inside your being.
They will not let your mind escape or waste time with any cleverness or distractions, but will steadily guide and walk with you till you are again absorbed in your true Heart - the Supreme Self."

"Investigate what the mind is and it will disappear,
There is no such thing as ‘mind’ apart from ‘thought.’
There is no use removing doubts.
If we clear one doubt another arises,
and there will be no end of doubts.
All doubts will cease only when the doubter and his source have been found.

Seek for the source of the doubter,
and you will find that he is really non-existent.
Doubter ceasing, doubts will cease."

the seeds of samskaras...

Q: Having heard this truth, why does not one remain content?

A: Because samskaras [innate mental tendencies] have not been destroyed.

Unless the samskaras cease to exist, there will always be doubt and confusion.
All efforts are directed to destroying doubt and confusion.
To do so their roots must be cut.
Their roots are the samskaras.
These are rendered ineffective by practice as prescribed by the Guru.
The Guru leaves it to the seeker to do this much so that he might himself find out that there is no ignorance. Hearing the truth [sravana] is the first stage.
If the understanding is not firm one has to practise reflection [manana] and uninterrupted contemplation [nididhyasana] on it.
These two processes scorch the seeds of samskaras so that they are rendered ineffective.
Some extraordinary people get unshakable jnana after hearing the truth only once.
These are the advanced seekers.
Beginners take longer to gain it.

source is eternal...

''Everything you see has its roots in the unseen world.
The forms may change, yet the essence remains the same.
Every wonderful sight will vanish, every sweet word will fade,
But do not be disheartened,
The source they come from is eternal, growing,
Branching out, giving new life and new joy.
Why do you weep?
The source is within you
And this whole world is springing up from it."

you are already awake....

"One of the most important things to be understood about man is that man is asleep. Even while he thinks he is awake, he is not. His wakefulness is very fragile; his wakefulness is so tiny it doesn’t matter at all.
His wakefulness is only a beautiful name but utterly empty.
You sleep in the night, you sleep in the day – from birth to death you go on changing your patterns of sleep, but you never really awaken. Just by opening the eyes don’t befool yourself that you are awake. Unless the inner eyes open – unless your inside becomes full of light, unless you can see yourself, who you are – don’t think that you are awake. That is the greatest illusion man lives in. And once you accept that you are already awake, then there is no question of making any effort to be awake."
~Osho

observe rather than react. keep quiet....

Be aware of this persistent feeling that there's something more to do in order to attain the Self.
Somehow, you have been brought, so far, to a stage where you are encouraged to leave aside all intentions, projections, fantasies and simply keep quiet inside your being.
Mind is inclined to say this is not enough. It is suggesting you take some action. However, the Master tells you to keep quiet and to focus on the Silence of your Heart rather than the rush of the mind. You are advised to avoid the trap of waiting for something to happen.
There may arise a little tension because of this advice to not go with the movement from mind.
Learn to bear your own Silence by observing the tensions encircling it.
Observe rather than react.
Again, keep quiet.
Stay only as Awareness.

bliss - as Joy, or as Peace...

"Anand means bliss, salama means peace.
Bliss can have two expressions: either it can be an ecstasy, overflowing,
or it can be silence, peace, stillness. If bliss flows outward it is ecstatic.
If it simply remains in then it is peace, and peace is a higher state than ecstasy.
Even if one has attained to ecstatic joy, one has to go one step more,
because one cannot remain in ecstasy forever; it tires.

All kinds of excitement are tiring; although this is spiritual excitement,
still it tires. It can't become a permanent state; you cannot live in it forever -
you will have to rest.

But one can be in peace forever, so that seems to be more natural.
Sufis are ecstatic - they dance, they sing.
Buddha sits silently.
There is no visible dance, there is no visible song, but there is utter peace.
Even dance has been transcended.
Even song has disappeared into silence.

So the dance that dances not is the highest,
and the song that remains silent is the greatest - that is the song of the songs.
But one has to begin with ecstasy.
The right procedure is to begin with great ecstasy - dance, song, expression -
and then slowly slowly to let all disappear into bliss."

have no fixed ideas about anyone but learn to expect the very best from everyone...

Guidance from Eileen Caddy
All Things Are Indeed Possible
Expect miracles. Expect a complete change of heart and mind in the seemingly impossible souls. Realize that with Me anything is possible, that a change of heart can come in the twinkling of an eye in the most impossible people. Have no fixed ideas about anyone but learn to expect the very best from everyone and draw the very best from all those you are in contact with. When you become still and allow yourself to become a channel for Me to use to pour My divine Love through, strange things can happen and very wonderful things. Expect them and accept them as all part of My divine plan and give constant thanks for all you will behold. When I tell you the hardest of hearts will be opened by the power of Love, wait upon Me and see these amazing things come about. Know that with Me all things are indeed possible and you will see the most incredible transformations take place and will know that only My divine Love could work these miracles.

you are Home...

Consider this NOW.
You are living in the 5th Dimension.
Not just waiting for some glorious Event.
You are living in the realm of unconditional Love. You are Home.
If you feel excitement then it is the potential you have for the creating of everything you ever dreamed of through the quantum shift you can now make (with ease) if you can conceive it.
And each day you wake you have reached into the highest vibration of Form and are expressing who you are through that special lens of your consciousness, of YOU.
And every thought now is creating the field, not just for yourself, but for everyone through your sharing, through the Unity Consciousness of the One Self we are all part of. An individual and unique expression of the OneSelf that is Source.
You are Whole and most Holy.
See like it, feel like it, live like it.
Shine on..
