live streaming life...

"What is birth and death but the beginning and the ending of a stream of events in consciousness? Because of the idea of separation and limitation they are painful.
Momentary relief from pain we call pleasure -- and we build castles in the air hoping for endless pleasure which we call happiness.
It is all misunderstanding and misuse.
Wake up, go beyond, live really."

wait patiently, until the song that is your life falls into your cupped hands...

"Do not try to save the whole world
or do anything grandiose.
Instead, create a clearing
in the dense forest of your life
and wait there patiently,
until the song that is your life
falls into your own cupped hands
and you recognize and greet it.
Only then will you know how
to give yourself
to this world
so worthy of rescue."

Practicing mindfulness together...

"We all have a fundamental need to belong, to feel safe, alive, and welcome. We can transform our own family or household into such a place where this is possible. Together we can practice breathing and smiling, sitting together, drinking tea together in mindfulness. If we have a bell, the bell is also part of the community, because the bell helps us practice, calling us back to ourselves to the present moment. If we have a meditation cushion, the cushion is also part of the community.

There are many things that help us practice mindfulness—even the air for breathing. If we live near a park or a riverbank, we can enjoy walking meditation there, and the park or river becomes part of our community. We need to establish a community at home. From time to time we can invite a friend to join us. We need to expand our definition of family to include not only our friends and community, but also the sun, the sky, the trees, the birds, and the hills around us. Practicing mindfulness is much easier when we do it together."

the journey to where we first started...

“Life is a dual journey:
one journey is in time and space the other is within oneself and truth.
The first ends in death - the second in deathlessness.
The second is the real journey because it takes you somewhere.
Those who take the first journey as it, waste their lives.
The real life begins the day you start the other journey.”
— O S H O, 'A Cup of Tea'

Will be to arrive where we started And know the place for the first time.”

Gurdjieff on "becoming just Love"...

"Gurdjieff used the I AM method. Work deeply on I AM whatever you are doing. Drinking water, eating, remember "I AM." Do not forget it! When you walk remember I AM. Let the walking be there, but be fixed on "I AM I AM I AM." Let this be constant in your awareness. Then it will begin to penetrate your sleep also.
Gurdjieff worked on his method continuously. His chief disciple P.D. Ouspensky relates that when Gurdjieff was working with him on this method and he was practicing for 3 months continuously this remembering of "I AM I AM I AM", everything stopped. Thoughts, dreaming, everything stopped. Only one note like music remained "I AM." But it was not an effort. This was a spontaneous activity going on. "I AM." Then Gurdjieff called Ouspensky out of the house. For 3 months he had been kept inside and was not allowed to go out.
Then Gurdjieff said 'Come with me!'They were living in a Russian town of Tiflis. They went out into the street. Ouspensky writes in his diary, "For the first time I could understand what Jesus meant when he said that man is asleep. The whole city looked to me as if asleep. People were moving in their sleep, shopkeepers were selling in their sleep, customers buying in their sleep. The whole city was asleep! I looked over at Gurdjieff. Only he was awake. The whole city around us was asleep. They were angry, fighting, they were loving, buying, selling, doing, everything."
Ouspensky said "I could see their faces, their eyes, they were asleep. The inner center was missing, it was not there.' Ouspensky said to Gurdjieff "I do not want to go there anymore. What happened to the city? Everyone seems asleep, drugged."
Gurdjieff said "Nothing has happened to the city. Something has happened to you. You have been undrugged. The city remains the same. It is the same place you moved into 3 months ago. But you couldn't see that other people are asleep because you were also asleep. Now you can see because a certain quality of awareness has come to you. With three months of practicing "I AM" continuously, you have become aware in a very short matter of time. You have become aware! A part of your consciousness has gone beyond dreaming. That is why you can see that everyone is asleep, dead, moving, drugged, as if hypnotized."
Ouspensky says "I could not bear this phenomenon - everyone asleep! Whatsoever they are doing, they are not responsible for it. They are not! How can they be responsible?" He came back and asked Gurdjieff "What is this? Am I deceived somehow? Have you done something to me that the whole city seems asleep? I cannot believe my own eyes!"
But this will happen to anyone. If you can remember yourself, then you will know that no one is remembering himself, and in this way each one goes on moving. The whole world is asleep. But start while you are awake. Any moment that you start "I AM."
I do not mean that you have to repeat the words "I AM" but have the feeling. Take a bath and feel "I AM." Let the touch of the cold shower be there, and let yourself be there behind, feeling it and remembering "I AM."Remember I am not saying that verbally you have to repeat "I AM." You can repeat it but that repetition will not give you awareness. Repetition may even create more sleep. So this "I AM", the remembering of "I AM", is not a verbal mantra. Feel it! Be sensitive to your being. When you touch someone else's hand do not only touch it, but feel it, feel your touch also. While you eat, feel yourself eating as well. This feeling will penetrate deeper and deeper into your mind.
One day suddenly you are awake at your own center, functioning for the first time. And then the whole world becomes a dream. And then you know that your dreaming is a dreaming. And when you know that your dreaming is a dreaming, dreaming stops. It can continue only if it is felt to be real. It is stopped if it is felt as unreal.
And once dreaming stops, you are a different man. The old man is dead; the sleepy man is dead. That human being which you were, you are no more. For the first time, you become aware. For the first time, in the whole world that is asleep, you are awake. You become a Buddha, an Awakened One.
After this awakening, there is no misery. After this awakening, there is no death. Through this awakening, there is no more fear. You become, for the first time, free of everything. To be free of sleep, to be free of dreaming, is to be free of everything. Hate, greed, anger all disappear. You attain freedom. You become just love."
- George Gurdjieff and P.D. Ouspensky (as related in the Book of Secrets by Osho)

letting go...returning to nameless formless Love...

My love, carry on.
Yours is a great calling.
You are discharging
your river
of names and forms into
the nameless Ocean
of no return.
In doing so, others can
witness and taste, through you,
That which they have heard
only as rumor.

that sneaky, tricky ego mind...

"Loving what is, would seem to be the simplest thing possible. It involves no effort, no struggle, no longing, and no disappointment. But loving what is goes against our programming, so it is difficult. It requires vigilance to counteract the egoic mind’s automatic rejection and resistance to whatever is happening. To experience the peace and happiness that exist in this moment, it is necessary to stop listening to the egoic mind, which undermines this peace and happiness with complaints and judgments. These are the tactics it uses to take us out of the present and into its world of desires, hopes, and dreams. It woos us with fantasies of a more perfect world, a more perfect mate, a more perfect experience, and a more perfect you, all of which are unreal and will never be real."

things that go bump in the night - or day...

~The Places That Scare You~

"The Buddha taught that flexibility and openness bring strength and that running from groundlessness weakens us and brings pain. But do we understand that becoming familiar with the running away is the key? Openness doesn't come from resisting our fears but from getting to know them well.
Rather than going after those walls and barriers with a sledgehammer, we pay attention to them. With gentleness and honesty, we move closer to those walls. We touch them and smell them and get to know them well. We begin a process of acknowledging our aversions and our cravings. We become familiar with the strategies and beliefs we use to build the walls: What are the stories I tell myself? What repels me and what attracts me? We start to get curious about what's going on. Without calling what we see right or wrong, we simply look as objectively as we can. We can observe ourselves with humor, not getting overly serious, moralistic or uptight about this investigation. Year after year, we train in remaining open and receptive to whatever arises. Slowly, very slowly, the cracks in the wall seem to widen and, as if by magic, bodhichitta is able to flow freely."

Ignorance is the supreme disease.

What Is Disease?

“There are three kinds of illness: physical, mental, and spiritual.
Physical sickness is due to different forms of toxic conditions, infectious disease, and accidents.
Mental sickness is caused by fear, worry, anger, and other emotional inharmonies.
Soul sickness is due to man’s ignorance of his true relationship with God.
Ignorance is the supreme disease. When one banishes ignorance he also banishes the causes of all physical, mental, and spiritual disease. My guru, Sri Yukteswarji, often said,
“Wisdom is the greatest cleanser.”
Trying to overcome various kinds of suffering by the limited power of material curative methods is often disappointing. Only in the unlimited power of spiritual methods may man find a permanent cure for the “dis-ease” of body, mind, and soul. That boundless power of healing is to be sought in God. If you have suffered mentally over the loss of loved ones, you can find them again in God. All things are possible with His help. Unless one really knows God, he is not justified in saying that only mind exists and that one does not need to obey health laws or to use any physical aids for healing. Until actual realization is attained, one should use his common sense in all he does. At the same time one should never doubt God, but should constantly affirm his faith in God’s omnipresent divine power.
Doctors try to learn the causes of disease and to remove those causes so that the illnesses do not recur. In their use of many specific material methods of cure, doctors are often very skillful. However, not every disease responds to medicine and surgery, and therein lies the essential limitation of these methods.
Chemicals and medicines affect only the outer physical composition of the bodily cells and do not alter the inner atomic structure or life principle of the cells. In many cases no cure of disease is possible until the healing power of God has corrected, from within, the imbalance of “lifetrons” or intelligent life energy in the body.”

benefit of developed minds...

“I don’t envision a single thing that, when undeveloped,

The mind, when undeveloped, leads to great harm.”
“I don’t envision a single thing that, when developed,

 “I don’t envision a single thing that,

The mind, when undeveloped and uncultivated,

breaking the subconscious contracts...

~ Bryonie Wise
"I hereby break all contracts I made unconsciously & consciously before I knew the depth of my own Spirit; the silent ones, the ones I inherited, passed down & accepted as my own from generation to generation.
I hereby severe all ties with that which holds me down & back, unable to see the glimmer of what I know to be true, whether by my own creation or by expectations tied like weights around my ankles by others lost in the sea of their own confused hearts.
I hereby reclaim my right to choose how my story unfolds, armed with creativity, a heart made of gold & reverent humility.
I hereby fully accept all of this living & what-is-yet-to-come with brash integrity & loving determination.
I hereby swear to use my superpowers for the love of all beings & I return anything that no longer serves my Higher & Lower Self (& the ones Caught-in-Between) with gratitude & consciousness.
I do this all with love, from the great source of it found in my very own beating heart."

mysterious journeys...

"When a path opens up before us that leads we know not where, don't be afraid to follow it. Our lives are meant to be mysterious journeys, unfolding one step at a time. Often we follow a path worn smooth by the many and in doing so we lose our authenticity, our individuality, our own unique expression. Do not be afraid to lose your way. Out of chaos, clarity will eventually rise. Out of not knowing, something new and unknown will ultimately come. Do not order things too swiftly. Wait and the miracle will appear."

Being and non-being create each other...

"When people see some things as beautiful,
other things become ugly.
When people see some things as good,
other things become bad.
Being and non-being create each other.
Difficult and easy support each other.
Long and short define each other.
High and low depend on each other.
Before and after follow each other.
Therefore the Master
acts without doing anything
and teaches without saying anything.
Things arise and he lets them come;
things disappear and he lets them go.
He has but doesn't possess,
acts but doesn't expect.
When his work is done, he forgets it.
That is why it lasts forever."

wanting peace...

"In order for the world to become peaceful, people must become more peaceful. Among mature people war would not be a problem – it would be impossible. In their immaturity people want, at the same time, peace and the things which make war. However, people can mature just as children grow up. Yes, our institutions and our leaders reflect our immaturity, but as we mature we will elect better leaders and set up better institutions. It always comes back to the thing so many of us wish to avoid: working to improve ourselves."

Self-acceptance...

"Over the years, I have come to realize that the greatest trap in our life is not success, popularity, or power, but self-rejection. Self-rejection is the greatest enemy of the spiritual life because it contradicts the sacred voice that calls us the "Beloved." Being the Beloved constitutes the core truth of our existence."

I AM - not two...

"Ascension while in physical-form is enlightenment.
Ascension in subtle-form is life-everlasting, immortality."
  ~ ~ ~
"I Am" what you are searching for. "I Am" that inner pull from within your heart. The only difference between what "I Am" and what you take yourself to be is only a matter of belief. As you currently believe yourself to be other than "Truth" "I Am" without this belief. Remove the belief that somehow you are other than "Truth" and in that instant, freedom shines forth.

opening up to our Source...

"Every day we dishonor our finest impulses. That is why we get a heart-ache when we read those lines written by the hand of a master and recognize them as our own, as the tender shoots which we stifled because we lacked the faith to believe in our own powers, our own criterion of truth and beauty. Every man, when he gets quiet, when he becomes desperately honest with himself, is capable of uttering profound truths. We all derive from the same source. There is no mystery about the origin of things. We are all part of creation, all kings, all poets, all musicians; we have only to open up, to discover what is already there."

clear mind...

"The ancient Masters were profound and subtle.
Their wisdom was unfathomable.
There is no way to describe it;
all we can describe is their appearance.
They were careful
as someone crossing an iced-over stream.
Alert as a warrior in enemy territory.
Courteous as a guest.
Fluid as melting ice.
Shape-able as a block of wood.
Receptive as a valley.
Clear as a glass of water.

Do you have the patience to wait
till your mud settles and the water is clear?
Can you remain unmoving
till the right action arises by itself?

The Master doesn't seek fulfillment.
Not seeking, not expecting,
He is present, and can welcome all things."

the (sweet) option of having no opinion...

"You always own the option of having no opinion.
There is never any need to get worked up
or to trouble your soul about things you can't control.
These things are not asking to be judged by you.
Leave them alone."
~ Marcus Aurelius

 In today's vernacular:
"Don't sweat the small stuff,
and it's all (almost) small stuff."

Frequently the comments section of online articles/social media feeds
is way more colorful and spicy than the information in the article itself.

Ah, the sweetness of exercising the option of having no opinion
about that which our words cannot actually change.
And, wisdom to know the difference is key.

when nothing is left out...

"When you live the spiritual life -
or rather it lives you,
versus just talking about it -
washing the dishes is deeply spiritual,
cooking dinner is deeply spiritual,
going to work is deeply spiritual.
You can't separate the two,
a “me” being spiritual or not spiritual.
It's just what you are.
That's when life takes on a resonance
or alignment with itSelf,
where everything is holy
and wholly spiritual -
nothing is left out."

closer than breathing...in every atom...

-~O... Kabir ....O~-

"Where do you search me?
I am with you
Not in pilgrimage, nor in icons
Neither in solitudes
Not in temples, nor in mosques
Neither in Kaba nor in Kailash
I am with you o man
I am with you
Not in prayers, nor in meditation
Neither in fasting
Not in yogic postures
Neither in renunciation
Neither in the vital force nor in the body
Not even in the ethereal space
Neither in the womb of Nature
Not in the breath of the breath
Seek earnestly and discover
In but a moment of search
Says Kabir, Listen with care
Where your faith is, I am there."

a lesson in abundance...

~)(~
Sunday evening while at the laundromat I was given a lesson about "having more than enough" by a homeless person camped for the night in the doorway of a brick and mortar store. I'd seen him there before, so I assume he has an agreement with the store owner, but maybe not. I don't know. I asked him if he needed any money and he declined. He said "No, I'm good. I don't need anything" as he pulled his sleeping bag up close and puffed away on a tiny brown cigar. I believed him. Camping out next the laundromat where he has access to a bathroom, and just a few yards away from a convenience store, he may be homeless by choice. This may not be so very different than camping out, for him. I began making up a story in my head about him. But mostly, I got a lesson in when there's plenty - in the moment.

money matters and spirituality...

This is something that has for some time been a daily concern for me, as it probably is (I'm guessing, but it's a good guess, I believe) for many people who are on a spiritual path. I frequently feel the need for mental clarity on this very important part of life in the dream/illusion. Maybe an individual has calculated a way to monetize the no-thing-ness they have discovered (and genuine spirituality is all very nice, etc. etc.) but seriously, no-thing-ness itself doesn't pay the bills.
~)(~

~ Adyashanti
"Q: So, how does the unfolding of non-motivation relate to issues, like earning money, that need motivation and desire to manifest?

Adya: The making of money is a necessary part of life and can be motivated by many drives. Among them, the drive to succeed, to acquire wealth beyond what is needed, to feel worthy, to have power, etc. However, the need to earn money to support your life, and possibly the life of your family, is a simple necessity. That is the motivation. And as such, it is an act of love. Your job in speculation and investing may require quick action and commitment, but not aversion and grasping. I know people who do investing and speculation and they do not do it from an emotional space of aversion and greedy desire but from wisdom and experience. Of course you must make money in ways that feel in integrity for you, but the underlying emotions are brought to the job by each of us, they do not exist in the job itself, as long as the job embodies basic moral principles and can be carried out with integrity. If not, it is time to look for something else to do. You see, as we drop the ego and all of the egoic motivations, what we are left with is acting from love. We do what we do out of love. Love for life, love for family, love for humanity. And love transcends all egoic motivations. Love is liberation in action."

there is a way to be sane...

"I'm saying that you can get rid of all this insanity created by the past in you,
just by being a simple witness of your thought processes.
It is simply sitting silently, witnessing the thoughts, passing before you. Just witnessing, not interfering, not even judging, because the moment you judge you have lost the pure witness. The moment you say “this is good, this is bad,” you have already jumped onto the thought process.
It takes a little time to create a gap between the witness and the mind. Once the gap is there, you are in for a great surprise: that you are not the mind, that you are the witness, a watcher.
And this process of watching is the very alchemy of real religion. Because as you become more and more deeply rooted in witnessing, thoughts start disappearing. You are, but the mind is utterly empty.
That’s the moment of enlightenment. That is the moment that you become for the first time an unconditioned, sane, really free human being."

Love After Love...

“The time will come when,
with elation you will greet yourself
arriving at your own door,
in your own mirror and
each will smile at the other's welcome,
and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again
the stranger who was your self.
 Give wine. Give bread.
Give back your heart to itself,
to the stranger who has loved you
all your life,
whom you ignored for another,
who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,
the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit.
Feast on your life.”

three simple steps to Paradise...

God/Love has no hands/feet but our hands/feet, no mouth to speak Truth but our mouth.

Light meditation for cellular purification...

“The technique to purify ourselves at the cellular level is very simple. You have to experience Light in every cell of your body. Light is Love, Peace, Equanimity and Stillness. Experience for as long as possible. From 7 minutes to 7 hours or for as long as you can. Whenever it is possible experience it. Whenever you are busy in life visualize Light in your system and keep the Light in you. That is all. Naturally we cannot be practising this when we are in Offices and when we are busy with our lives. But whenever you find time sit quietly, close your eyes and experience #Light in every cell of your body. It’s not easy I know but this is the only way. Increasing your purity levels in every way is as important. Let us manifest #Love. Let Love be the context for your interactions in life. Non-love is like poison. Remove non-love. Remove anger. Remove jealousy. Remove all that is related to non-love. Purity implies all this.”

how to have undiluted happy-ness...

“How do you keep your mind on God? By keeping your mind on yourself. How do you keep your mind on yourself? By not thinking, by stopping your thoughts, by erasing your ego.
When the thoughts slow down you become happier and happier automatically. For when the thoughts slow down something is rushing in to take their place. And what rushes in, is bliss.
Therefore, to the extent that you make your mind slow down to that extent do you feel blissful and happy.”

be an observer - it is all a monologue...

Yet again, Mooji succinctly nails it.

"There are no dialogues in the universe.
It is all a monologue —
the one Self conversing with itself
in its favorite concept called ‘other’."
~Mooji

This is a test. A Rorschach test. What do you see? ;)

in-body Ascension...

"In order to be connected to your Divine Holy Royal Heritage of Knowledge it is necessary to meditate every single day. Only then are you able to disconnect from the mundane and connect to the Holy Spirit. The Liquid Light Codes surrounded by the electromagnetic Force called Love. Basking in Love, Joy, Bliss and being Your True Highest Self. This is what it means to meditate. This is what it means to be a Lightworker on Planet Earth. From time to time you reach this state of consciousness on your own. It catches you unaware. It is Bliss. It brings unexpected tears of joy. It is all too fleeting. The moments of pure bliss and joy fleet away. By learning to meditate you connect with Divine Mind and bliss can stay with you. The Highest choice.
In the Light there is everything to see. You cannot see anything in darkness. As you procrastinate from regularly practicing meditation you risk coming to the end of your life without having Ascension in a Body. This is the beginning of learning to navigate in the Merkaba Body."

multidimensionality of consciousness...

"Just as the difference between the space in a pot and the space outside it disappears when the pot is demolished, so also does duality disappear when it is realized that the difference between the individual consciousness and the Universal Consciousness does not in fact exist."
~ Ramesh Balsekar

Inside, outside - same same. Let's just effin get rid of any residual guilt,
so we can totally enjoy the life experience we have, while we still (seem to) have a bodily form.

being engaged with Life through breath...

"Simply sit, open to God breathing divine love into the depths of your being, as you breathe your whole being, as a gift of love, back into God. This one practice alone, engaged in with heartfelt sincerity and devotion, can awaken you to God’s total and complete oneness with you as the giver, the sustainer, and the reality of the sheer miracle of your very being."
~James Finley

- nothing to fear and nothing to fight. All is well.

"[When you awaken] you want to share this truth with your friends, with your family and with your associates, but you cannot, for there are no words to describe this. Everywhere you look, you see freedom. Everywhere you look, you see love. All the trivialities are gone. The judgments have dissipated. You have nothing to fear and nothing to fight. All is well."

the SELF as true Lover - Become the Love, and the Lover!

{{{{{{{  the SELF as true Lover - Become the Love, and the Lover!  }}}}}}}
Everything we really need is already in our heart of Hearts- the Spiritual Heart behind the physical heart.
~)(~
"LOVE is the within, centre and without, it is the beneath, middle and beyond, it is the pervasive vibration reverberating the underlying fabric of this entire cosmic existence. It is the omnipresent bond between all, it is all that is, it is who you are. So beloved dear, once this sacred knowing of your Self as LOVE comes to you, no one will ever need to teach you to love yourself or to love your fellow beings. That will happen automatically out of your authentic beingness, in every single moment, not just on a 'special' day. To give love, you first have to embody it, you have to be it. Fill yourself with love to the peak by being love, and then once you are filled, overflow with it and let it flow over to everyone and everything in existence. Unless you are filled with it, you have nothing to give anyone. May this ultimate knowing come to you, may you radiate eternal LOVE every day in any given moment _/|\_ LOVE is infinite, it is eternal, let's not limit it to this day only but cultivate it every single moment. Happy Valentine's Day!"

not so black and E.B.White...

"If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy. If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem. But I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day."
