Zardenia's Tote Bag

The grape fabric is lightweight canvas from a rummage sale, the lace is from an antique pillowcase, and the logo is from the store avatar of Zardenia.etsy.com. Initially I planned to use the logo she sent me to make a fabric transfer, but then I chose to use colored Sharpie pens on cream colored canvas fabric. The colors have been set with heat. The bag measures approx. 16" x 16" with 29" L. straps. I think Emine will be quite OK with the results.

Victorian Tote or Book Bag

Victorian Tote Bag
Hot off the sewing machine ...just in time for Christmas shoppers! Last week this lovely, canvas-like fabric was a tablecloth and  now it is  twelve tote bags.  I may actually have to keep one for myself! One sold overnight....I like waking up to sales! Don't we all!

Tote Bag

This tote bag is made (upcycled) from a very heavy duty canvas sack, and the pockets came from a canvas kitchen apron for which they were ill-suited. I enjoyed making it, especially thinking of how useful it now is; and it will wear for a long, long time. Next project is making a bed or throw pillow from the skirt of a seriously outdated Eddie Bauer shirt dress. Once hemmed the top will be a shirt for me, I think. It's a good color for my skin, so I better keep it. And then, I want to cut a throw pillow from white craft fur to sell on eclecticarmadillo...if my sewing machine can sew it!
