To hike the AT has been a longstanding dream of mine. I doubt that it will ever happen but I enjoy the scenery vicariously!

India Print Tote Bag
Over the weekend I finally got around to cleaning the front porch. Wow! That is one feel-good chore out of the way...for the time being, anyway!
We've had a small dead tree lying here that Fred picked up in town last year. The intent was to make a clothes tree of sorts to display tote bags - perhaps at a regular venue. And, it looks right at home here on the porch!

Barefoot in the Kitchen
Spent the afternoon barefoot in the kitchen - making Calamondin Marmalade. A friend gave me the cutest little jars, & they are perfect for the purpose!

Being Helpful
"Peace has a great deal to do with warm-heartedness and respect for the lives of others, avoiding doing them harm and regarding their lives as being as precious as our own. If, on that basis, we can also be of help to others, so much the better."

Comfrey
This comfrey plant is now beginning to look like the plant my grandmother had for years. Hers came back every spring. She made tea with the dried leaves for colds, and to boost her immune system. I love the blossoms!
I hope the deer won't find this one. I want to collect seeds and start more plants, and eventually sell the dried leaves in my etsy store.
I was told by a local gardener that in Florida Oregano will spread and become a ground cover. I am delighted that this is what appears to be happening with my plant, and interestingly enough it does survive the summer heat very well!
