Baked Apples Dish Recipe

Baked Apples

How to Make:
OK! This is about as simple as it gets! Wash the apples. Here I used about 7-8 large apples - using several different varieties of baking apples. Cut the apples in half, and core them. Cut each half into quarters on a cutting board. Throw them into a glass baking pan. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon. Bake until soft at 350 degrees. Cool, and add dried cranberries and walnuts.  Since I am  currently in "losing weight" mode I'm not going to top a serving with a dollop of real whipped cream or the fake kind, but that would sure look and taste reeeeally good!

P.S. For "thee" absolutely best sweetest and moistest dried Cranberry source look no further than this delightful etsy shoppe called  tootsytwo . The cranberries are homegrown on their Bandon, Oregon farm.

This looks scrumptious Sarah! I think I'd bake my cranberries in there though and maybe some raisins along with it? Anywho, I'm going to write this down and use it this weekend I think...good food for cold weather, lol!

Thanks for the sharing! :)

Oh! These dried cranberries are very special - so moist, naturally sweet & quite unlike any I've had before. Although I can see how they would contribute more flavor to the end result by including them, no I would not add them in to bake. Raisins I might add beforehand, and add the cranberries afterward.

The recipe is very flexible, so take artistic liberties! :-)
