Monkey Wrench Quilt

I haven't contributed much to my blog lately. It's a very busy time for me, doing some fall housecleaning, catching up with outdoor and garden work after the hot summer, working on establishing social media links to my etsy stores, and getting into my sewing room when there is time. And we have acquired another little, black kitten from freecycle as a companion for the white rescue kitten. This morning they were laying on a porch chair facing each other with their front legs wrapped around each other in an embrace. That was a very sweet moment for me to observe and remember...very yin and yang! This absolutely gorgeous quilt was made by my friend Valerie, and is for sale at: http://www.ponderosaquilter.etsy.com http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=33884419 These colors are a very nice compliment and juxtaposition to each other. Somebody is going to get a very nice quilt. Valerie has excellent workmanship.

Wow, what a glorious quilt. The colors are simply brilliant!

I wish you could have captured your two kittens sleeping - I bet it looked so pretty and peaceful.

I think your purse will be ready tonight and I will post it on Etsy in the morning, if you want to look...I may even blog about it. I'm trying to figure out how to crochet or knit a button cover because I want the button to match the yarn perfectly and all I have is the black buttons with the gold trim that I use for my towel toppers...if I can't figure it out, I will have to buy one because I'm not going to ruin all my hard work with a cheap-o button, right?

Yes, that moment when the kittens were embracing was so special! They were very much awake and doing it deliberately.

Look forward to taking a look at the bag! I appreciate all the effort and care you are putting into it!

You changed your background color...I've been thinking of changing the look of my blog, but I've got so much stuff on there, I'm kind of afraid to mess with it in case it doesn't fit with the new style...I'd have to experiment a little to see how it looks, but I kind of like the black background. My eyes like it, so, we'll see...

Hope you had a great weekend, Sarah!

Talk with you soon.

Hugs,
Doris ;-)

Doris; I'm not crazy about the white background-was just playing around one day and did not save the template I had. I like a black background, too. Some people have difficulty viewing black for periods of time, and I'm not just writing a blog for myself! Sarah
