beyond ideas of wrong doing and right doing

"Out beyond ideas of wrong doing and right doing,
there is a field. I'll meet you there.

When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase "each other" doesn't make any sense."

~mevlana jelaluddin rumi - 13th century

Sarah - I just came across this quote in And The Mountains Echoed and was totally blown away by it. So amazing to see it on your blog too.

Thanks, Emma. It's a favorite of mine from Rumi. Sorta cuts to the chase, with a minimum of words. :-)
