Meditation
does not eliminate all of life’s problematic experiences,
but it allows us to view them with different lens,
so that we do not
feel overwhelmed by them.

Here is a story from the Life of Akbar:
"One day he posed a problem to his stewards to see who
could come up with a solution. Using a piece of driftwood. He then asked who could shorten the line without touching any of it.
The stewards could not figure it out but just stood there, blankly staring at each other. But, Birbal picked up a stick and drew a line parallel to the
first, which was longer than the first, thus making the first one look
shorter."

(I doubt that the moral of the story is to create a bigger problem so the first one won't seems as big.)
